avilon, in collaboration with Phayakkhaphum Phisai Hospital in Maha Sarakham Province, led by Dr. Sathita Rungsiribhakkul, Hospital Director, performed the “Medical Drone Test Flight” by using our Gryphon EX drone for medical supply delivery. from Phayakkhaphum Phisai Hospital to Health Station in hospital network.
The initiative’s focus on improving healthcare accessibility, especially for patients using Virtual OPD services at Health Stations, demonstrates a commitment to leveraging technology for the benefit of the community. By doing so, it reduces congestion, waiting times at hospital, providing patients with convenient and prompt services. This also minimizes travel expenses for accessing medical services, benefitting patients dealing with both non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and general illnesses in non-emergency conditions
The use of medical delivery drone helps save time in transporting medical supplies, reducing the delivery time from 2-3 days via postal services, reducing delivery cost comparing with other same-day delivery method.
The test flight conducted with the Gryphon EX, which has a carrying capacity of up to 10 kilograms, commenced from Phayakkhaphum Phisai Municipality and traversed the fields of Palan Subdistrict, reaching its destination at Ban Nong Hang School. The drone covered a distance of 3.5 kilometers and successfully completed the mission in 5 minutes, effectively simulating the process of medicine delivery to Village Health Volunteers (VHVs) in the community.
